Today was a bittersweet experience traveling back to Grumbullini where all our children of sponsored families live. The children were just as excited to see us as we were to see them. They reconized us. Their smiles lite up there little faces. Hugs were abounding and it was very joyous to see them again. They had grown but not changed very much. It was a real blessing to be a minister of God's love. I must digress a little bit and share the sadness so many of us felt when we entered the room our dear sister, Jodi, had lovingly and artisticly painted and brought hope in the form of a rainbow and scripture from God's word. What was encouraging to our team is more scripture has been added to the walls.
We also had the opportunity, as we were graciously invited into Gony and Flouta's one room apartment, to be a witness of God's Holy Spirit speaking hope into their lives. Our translator told us their story, and their financial difficulties were overwhelming, but a team member was given a word, and prayed. Then the Holy spirit gave words of encouragement over this family and Baskim, who was also present. It was a message of hope and promise and God's plan for their lives.
Before we left we stood in the court yard and sang worship songs with the children as Baskim played his guitar. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful day. Dear Lord thank you for the opportunities You have provided for us to see You at work in the lives of the Albanian people. It is humbling to be of service to Your people. Falenderit Jesuzi (Thank You, Jesus!)
